Rideshare Rampage

Rideshare Rampage was a case study of Crazy Taxi that I did with Wolverinesoft, Michigan's game development club.

As a member of WolverineSoft, a game development club at the University of Michigan, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team to create Rideshare Rampage, a game inspired by the classic arcade title Crazy Taxi. We developed the game using Unreal Engine 5.

My contributions to the project included:

  • Developing NPC AI for pedestrians and other drivers, creating a dynamic and reactive city environment
  • Implementing core game logic, including passenger pickup/drop-off mechanics and scoring system
  • Assisting in designing and balancing the game's difficulty curve to ensure an engaging player experience

Throughout the development of Rideshare Rampage, I gained valuable experience in collaborative game development. Working with a diverse team taught me the importance of clear communication and effective task delegation. Coordinating my AI and game logic work with other team members' contributions provided hands-on experience in code integration and version control.
